The initial situation

Heavy growth of elodea had significantly restricted the use of Lake Emssee in Warendorf. For the local water sports club, regular activities had become almost impossible. The aim was to make the water area usable again through targeted aquatic weed cutting.

For this project, the City of Warendorf rented the BERKY TRITON 550 mowing and collecting boat for one week. The boat was operated on site by members of the water sports club.

The TRITON 550 enabled efficient aquatic weed cutting directly on the lake. During the operation, the aquatic plants were cut and collected, allowing the affected water areas to be cleared step by step.

Lake Emssee fully usable again

Thanks to the one-week rental of the BERKY TRITON 550, the elodea in Lake Emssee was effectively cut back. The water area, which had previously been severely restricted, was made usable again.
